Injury accidents

Three 15-year-old Leavenworth residents were injured Friday in a three-car accident in Leavenworth County, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol. Laura Bohne was in fair condition Saturday at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. Jacob Kowalewski and Joshua Wolter were admitted to Cushing Memorial Hospital, Leavenworth, but a hospital spokesman would not release their conditions.

The three were injured about 5:30 p.m. when Kowalewski failed to heed a stop sign at the intersection of Kansas Highway 192 and U.S. Highway 73. The car struck another vehicle head-on, and that vehicle then spun into the path of a third vehicle. Passengers in the other vehicles were not injured.
