Lawrence commuter report

The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic this week in the region:

Kansas University men’s basketball vs. EA Sports All-Stars, 7 p.m. Monday, Allen Fieldhouse, KU campus.

Interstate 70, westbound from Turner Diagonal to 57th Street, inside lane will be closed.

Interstate 70, eastbound from 78th Street to State Line, will have lane restrictions.

Kansas Highway 32, on the Turner Bridge over the Kansas River, will have lane restrictions.

Kansas Highway 32, both directions at 88th Street, will have lane restrictions.

Interstate 435, at State Line Road both directions, two inside lanes closed for work.

Interstate 435, eastbound outside lane from Alternate U.S. Highway 69 to Nall Avenue, will be closed.

Kansas Highway 10, westbound inside lane, closed at Edgerton Road.

Interstate 70, westbound lanes from Wabaunsee/

Shawnee county line to Valencia Road exit, closed and rerouted for construction.

U.S. Highway 75, at U.S. Highway 24 interchange, lane restrictions and ramp closures for reconstruction.


The following city construction projects may affect traffic this week:

21st Street, closed from Ousdahl Road to east of Naismith Drive for storm sewer improvements.

19th Terrace, 20th Street and 20th Terrace, periodical closure during work day for storm sewer improvements.

Intersection of Ninth and Iowa streets, traffic interruptions for water line installation.

West Fifth Street, from California Street west to 1924 W. Fifth St., restricted to local traffic only for water line installation.

Kansas Highway 10 at East Hills Drive, traffic limited to one lane each direction for road improvements.

31st Street, from Ousdahl Road to Iowa Street, traffic reduced to one lane each direction for road improvements.

North Michigan Street, no through traffic north of the Wood Creek Townhomes entrance to Riverridge Road for road improvements.

Clinton Parkway at Lawrence Avenue, temporary traffic interruptions for traffic signal improvements.

15th and Iowa streets, intermittent lane closings in turning lanes for street repair.
