Burglaries and thefts reported

An employee of Pinckney School, 810 W. Sixth St., told Lawrence Police on Wednesday that someone had removed 10 personal checks, valued at $200, and three bank bags containing $200 from the school between 4:20 p.m. May 24 and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The bags were removed from a locked file cabinet in the employee’s office. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
