Magazine puts focus on police’s cameras

The Lawrence Police Department’s use of digital cameras recently caught the attention of a government computer service magazine.

A story about the department’s switch to digital cameras appeared in the April issue of State magazine. The magazine features stories about computing solutions for state and local governments.

Interviewed for the Lawrence story were Police Chief Ron Olin and Detectives M.T. Brown, Dan Ward and Dean Brown. They discussed how the department’s switch to digital cameras was expected to reduce photography costs.
