Burglaries and thefts reported

A 22-year-old male KU student told Lawrence Police that someone had caused $1,000 damage to the driver’s side door and steering column of his maroon 1990 Buick Regal between 12:30 p.m. May 12 and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday as it was parked in the 1400 block of West Seventh Street. Two items removed from the vehicle were valued at $400.

A Uniden radar detector, amplifier and 254 other items valued at $4,500 were taken early Friday morning from a vehicle parked in the 2500 block of Belle Haven Drive, a Lawrence Police report said. The 29-year-old Lawrence man who owns the vehicle reported the theft.
