Free State High’s Jon Renberger and Lawrence High’s Chris Davis were honored as the Lawrence school district high school coaches of the year at a reception Thursday at the Lawrence Visitors Center in the old Union Pacific Depot.

Renberger, the high school girls coach of the year, coaches boys and girls tennis at FSHS. Davis, the boys coach of the year, coaches boys basketball.

Stan Frantz, West Junior High head boys basketball, head track and assistant football coach, was named the junior high boys coach of the year, and Patty Coffey, Southwest’s head volleyball and head girls track coach, was the junior high girls coach of the year.
