Cutting options
To the editor:
I found it interesting that in your article of Feb. 26 concerning the school district budget, the major cuts considered were teachers and nurses, the most important people whom directly affect our students.
May I suggest such things as streamlining transportation, or maybe longer days to decrease the number of days that the physical plants and transportation are needed. Or, God forbid, considering the size and amount paid for the administrative offices, possibly there could be some fat to cut there.
