Bohl questions

To the editor:

As a KU alumnus, I have always been immensely proud of the university. It has been particularly nice that, among the many national scandals in collegiate athletics, KU and its coaches and athletic directors have always been clean. There has never been any question about honesty and integrity in the athletic programs, and KU alums have never had to feel embarrassed as have alumni from many other universities.

Therefore, in reading your various stories pertaining to the current athletic director, it has been disappointing to learn that the KU athletic image has been tarnished because of him. Bohl may be satisfied with the resolution in Fresno, but that does not mean KU should be particularly when he assured the KU Athletic Corp. that he had done “nothing inappropriately.” Hopefully, Mr. Ferraro, chair of the corporation board, and the other members will reconsider their earlier support of Mr. Bohl and make a more appropriate recommendation to Chancellor Hemenway.
