Inappropriate plan
To the editor:
As I pass by 15th and Iowa streets several times a week, I gaze in wonderment at the “new entrance” to Kansas University and think how beautiful it will be. Then, I read about the budget problems, the laying off of people with families to feed, the closing of the Museum of Anthropology and so on and so on.
Yes, I know that private funds are paying for the “new entrance,” but it just seems inappropriate at this time with all the budget problems that KU and the state of Kansas are experiencing.
