An inspiration
To the editor:
It was wonderful to read of the recognition of Diane Karpowitz. It is a well-deserved notice though Diane is modest about her efforts. What the article did not say is that during all of this she suffered from breast cancer. She directed for several years an early morning religion program for high school students. She has been a tremendous example to many women, including myself, while selflessly giving so much without complaint or desire for attention or reward.
Representing her many friends who love and respect her, I say “thank you, Diane” you are an inspiration to all women.
