Looking inward

To the editor:

I am angry. Am I emotional? You bet. So are most Americans who witnessed the memorial service for those who lost their lives and their loves on 9/11.

The days after the fall of the towers were filled with much emotion. But, we had someone to focus our anger on: Osama bin Laden. And, that was good. Now, we must look inward, to our own, to see what horrible misdeeds have taken place. The actions of our most reputable and trusted agencies have, perhaps, aided in this tragedy.

No matter WHO was involved in, or took part in the actions that prevented information from being acted upon that day, we must be sure that these people are taken from their places of power never to return!! Nor should they be allowed in any shape or form to benefit financially from this tragedy. No book deals, no lucrative private security position, nothing.

These people should have to answer to the children who attended the memorial Thursday.
