Crisco sponsors contest

Crisco invites home chefs to submit original holiday recipes in four categories for its "Crisco Celebrates the Flavor of the Holidays" recipe contest.

Categories are appetizer, main course, side dish or dessert. A grand-prize winner and four runners-up, one from each category, will be selected. Prizes are $5,000 for the grand prize and $1,000 each for the runners-up. Deadline is Jan. 15.

French's offers GourMayo

Enhancing the flavor of sandwiches, salads, burgers and dips with a common condiment - mayonnaise - is now more convenient and tasty. Catching up to the spiced-up condiments trend is GourMayo from French's.

This new variety of mayo has half the fat and calories of regular mayonnaise but has added flavors. Try these spiced-up mayos: chipotle chili, sun-dried tomato and wasabi horseradish.

An 11-ounce squeezable bottle is about $2.30.
