America’s image

To the editor:

Concerning the front page article in the Dec. 5 Journal-World that discussed increasing ill will toward America abroad, I make the following two observations. First, foreign public opinion is generally favorable regarding American activities at the citizen level; it is government policies that are the focus of foreign dismay. Second, this increased ill will since 1999-2000, Clinton years, coincides exactly with the tenure of the Bush administration. The conclusion is self-evident.
