Medical office managers to start association

A group of office managers of Lawrence-area medical practices is trying to organize a local association.

“Instead of taking three or four hours out of a day to go to Kansas City for meetings, we’d like to start a group of our own here in Lawrence,” said Pat Barker, practice administrator at Radiologic Professional Services.

The group’s meetings are expected to focus networking and keeping pace with changes in the marketplace.

Office managers interested in joining such a group are asked to call Barker, 841-3211, ext. 26, or send an e-mail to patbrps@swbell.net.

The group hopes to have its first membership meeting next month.
