STILWELL ? Lawrence High’s girls tennis team dropped its season opener, 6-3, to Blue Valley Northwest on Wednesday at Blue Valley. The Lions won at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 singles, but lost the rest of their matches. Abby Olsen, Sydney Lartigue and Sara Olsen were Lawrence’s winners.

LHS plays again Sept. 4 at Shawnee Mission North.
