Last spring, the administrative structure of University Theatre was realigned. The change means that Delores Ringer, director of University Theatre, now answers to the chairman of the theater and film department rather than the dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

In addition, the 11-member University Theatre staff also answers to the department chairman.

Interim chairman is John Sweets, a history professor at KU who will oversee the theater and film department for two years. He began his duties July 1 and replaces Mary Karen Dahl, who stepped down during her review process last spring and has since left KU for a job in Florida.
