Worthy story

To the editor:

In the “Life” section of the USA Today on April 11 was a story with pictures about KU students who spent their spring break in Washington, D.C., learning what it means to be homeless. The program was coordinated by the National Coalition for the Homeless. They were given 70 cents and put on the street for two days.

This story seemed worthy enough for the USA Today but I didn’t see it in the Lawrence Journal-World. Was that because it wasn’t basketball?
