Torticollis is a condition that affects the sternocleidomastoid muscle and can result in head tilt and inability to rotate the head freely from side to side. Untreated torticollis will result in plagiocephaly 80-90% of the time for these infants. Torticollis and plagiocephaly can and do occur separately.
