Until two months ago, I was a driving instructor for Midwest Driving School and had been for nearly three years. During the first two years, things were fine. However, last year the owner seemed to become less concerned about the safety of the vehicles. The last straw for me was when he said he would not have the airbag serviced on the vehicle I was using. He initially told me that airbag would work even though the airbag light was on. I asked the mechanic about that, and he said the airbag could not deploy if there were an accident. I couldn't in good conscience place a student behind the wheel of that car knowing that, in the event of an accident, the airbag would not deploy. Another vehicle had side mirrors that could not be adjusted. Of course, the mirrors would have to be set at different positions for different students. This is necessary for proper lane-changing.
First off, let me say that I understand driving experience is needed with that being said I was not expecting my child to be driving to kansas city on their first day and wasn't told that they would be going. When i called to ask why I wasn't informed I was called stupid, annoying and that they don't need to tell me anything. The owner hung up on me many times and told me to shut up. Now they haven't scheduled any more driving for my child. They offered a refund but of course never got it. Go Somewhere else
