Jayhawk Drum

The purpose of KU Percussion Club is to serve as a public meeting place for students and music lovers to exchange ideas on developing new percussion techniques, percussion equipment, and for sharing appreciation for percussion. The club will promote percussion to both music majors and non-music majors by inviting guest artists to perform recitals, give clinics, and teach master classes. These demonstrations will be valuable in enriching and educating percussionists, making them better musicians. KU Percussion Club will work in conjunction with the Percussion Department in the School of Fine Arts to collaborate recitals, festivals, and other percussive events. KU Percussion Club will reach out to the community to spread awareness in the many facets of percussion.
