Experience 7-Mar-2009 Eagle Day at GRINTER PLACE (78th and K-32 Highway) in Kansas City, Kansas.

Joe Brentano is the new full time coordinator at Grinter House {site of the 1st ferry crossing on the Kansas River}

The house will be open for tours from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. visitors can bring binoculars to watch from the upper front porch. Admission will still apply to anyone coming into the house.

Admission is $2 for adults, $1 seniors and students; KSHS, Inc., members, current military, and children five and under are admitted FREE ...

Tom Farris will be guiding walking tours down to the river. It will be on a 1st come 1st go lasting from 1 to 2 hr per tour. If at any time someone wants to return to Grinter House it is only a 10 minute walk.

You will need to wear good hiking shoes etc. There may be a water crossing with water up to you ankles. Dress for the woods.

Four years ago Tom Farris counted 42 Bald Eagles around me at one time. BUT remember we do not have this Eagle Clan under contract so there may be Eagles and there may not be any.
