Our 2 dogs just love this place and the staff seems to truly love the dogs! When we start pulling into the parking lot my dogs start going crazy and are so excited to run through the front door! The staff always greets us by name and are always very easy to work w/. They give us friendly reminders when we owe money and when our dogs vaccines are coming close to being due. They work hard to accomadate our larger dogs or hose them off if they got dirty. The building it self is old and isn't very big but it's never dirty (unless its muddy outside) and it never smells like your typical dog place. Seems like lately they have been making some changes and updates to the place too. My wifes favorite part is the electronic picture frames in the lobby. To us and our dogs it seems like all around good place.

I've been taking my dog here for several months and really like it. Workers seem nice and my dog gets excited to see them. Owner has been great. No complaints from me or my dog!

When dropping my dog off I asked the staff to please not let him outside for long periods of time, as he has a tendency to eat everything in sight, which makes him sick. I told them it was fine to just let him stay in his "room", as I knew it would be too much to ask of them to watch him the whole time. They obviously disregarded what I said, and my dog spent a great deal of time outside. He is now going on day 5 of being sick. I will not use this place again. Aside from not respecting our wishes, the place was filthy and smelled terrible. I realize it's a dog boarding place, so it's not going to be spotless, but I've boarded my dog at several other places and never seen a facility quite so disgusting.

We toured the place before we left our dog there and things seemed fine. If you thought it was so bad why did you leave your dog with them?

If you felt the place was so disgusting why would you leave your dog there? When we came in for our introduction the staff did a great job of explaining all the cleaning methods and the day to day schedule for the dogs. I have boarded my 2 dogs a lot over the years and have never felt so comfortable leaving my dogs somewhere. We always see the same faces working there and they know our dogs almost as good as we do. My dogs eat rocks and grass and sometimes even poop and we know it's a problem and understand that it isn't always stopable. The staff always keep us well informed and are always willing to answer our questions.

I have been taking my dog to HSW regularly since August 2010 and it has been the BEST experience for her and for me. The staff are so caring and engaged to the point that they were instrumentive and supportive in a recent NEW doggie addition to our family. I give them an unqualified highest rating and recommend them to anyone needing this kind of service. Thank you Home Sweet Home!!!

My wife and I have taken our two dogs to HSH for quite a while now and we've been very pleased. Our dogs love to go and are very excited just to get in the door. Then they get exercise and come home worn out and happy. We really like the people there and have always liked the way they treat us and our dogs. They even worked with us when we had to leave unexpectedly and had to make last minute arrangements. Very happy overall.

Our dog has been going to HSH twice a week for over 5 years. We recently boarded him there for a week - and he came back with coccidia. We had heard rumors that things had gone down hill at HSH - not being properly cleaned. I'd say a case of coccidia confirms those rumors. I'm very disappointed because our dog loves to go there - but I'm going to have very strong reservations about taking him there again, until things improve. Also, I'm one who is frequently asked by others for doggie day care & boarding suggestions. It's gonna be tough to recommend HSH now.

If you have children or have had children in school did you keep them out if they became ill due to some other kid brining in the illness? Did you quit your job if you got the flu? Just curious. One issue in 5 years... seems like an awesome track record to me!!

Good point. Obviously, it just wigged me out at the time. We kept our dog home for a couple of weeks until things had cleared up. He's since back at HSH twice a week, so he can visit his buddies and blow out all that pent up energy.
