Brent and Darcy Boyle
Darcy DeVictor and Brent Boyle, both of Lawrence, were married Sept. 6, 2009, at The Eldridge Hotel, with the Revs. Virgil Brady and Tom Brady officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Frederick and Karen DeVictor, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Jim and Judi Boyle, Knoxville, Tenn.
Maid of honor was Katie Young. Best man was Michael Coggins. Bridesmaids were Corinne Brinkerhoff, Melissa Cox, Megan Winter and Brooke Boyle. Groomsmen were Cameron DeVictor, Matt Jamison, Joe Ewert and Chris DeVictor. The bride’s personal attendant was Amanda Touhey Price.
A reception was given in the Crystal Ballroom at The Eldridge Hotel.
The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Drake University. She is a freelance writer.
The groom is a graduate of LHS and Kansas University. He is the assistant food and beverage director at Alvamar Country Club.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Shannon Haley Cork and Cody Mark Poell, both of Lawrence, were married Oct. 3, 2009, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mitchell Zimmerman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Tammy Cork, Dodge City.
The groom is the son of Dr. Mark and Carol Poell, St. Mary’s.
Maid of honor was Jenna Sumaya. Best man was Nathan Mauck. Bridesmaids were Gentry Cork, Dr. Shawna Harris and Nicole Poell. Groomsmen were Ty Poell, Dr. Casey Poell and Craig Walkenshaw. Ushers were Paul Hrabe, Brandon Huninghake, Seth Holder and Jarod Jackson. Scripture readers were Mitch Poell and Pat Surmeier. Musicians were the Crimson String Trio. Canter was Maureen Brogren. Organist was Mark Holmberg. Guestbook and program attendant was Alicia Hrabe.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Dodge City High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Southwestern College in 2006, and will earn a doctorate in pharmacy from Kansas University in May.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Hoxie High School. He earned an associate degree from Colby Community College and a doctorate in pharmacy from KU in 2007. He is a pharmacist at Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Lawrence.
A reception was given at Maceli’s in Lawrence.
The couple in reside in Lawrence.

Melissa LaVigne, Albany, N.Y., and Mike Connolly, Lawrence, were married Sept. 18, 2009, at White Pine Camp, Lake Placid, N.Y., with the Rev. Paula Gravell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Gregory and Jane LaVigne, Albany.
The groom is the son of Mark and Heide Connolly, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Emily Arch. Best man was Mike Robotti. Bridesmaids were Angela LaVigne, Erin Kavanagh, Raisa Patron, Grace Stephens, Alison Capponi and Jill Garrison. Groomsmen were Tim Donnally, Erick Axcell, Michael Yimer, Justin Torres, Jeff Hendriksen and Andrew Connolly.
A reception followed at White Pine Camp.
The bride is a graduate of Academy of the Holy Names in Albany. She earned bachelor’s degrees in history and English from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in public policy from Duke University. She is a legislative assistant for U.S. Rep. Jerry F. Costello of Illinois.
The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kansas University and a juris doctorate degree from New York University. He is an attorney with Wiley Rein, LLP, a law firm in Washington, D.C.
The couple reside in Washington, D.C.

The future groom is the son of Lee and Janice Crawford, Topeka. He is a 2003 graduate of Topeka Seaman High School and earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and anthropology from KU in 2008. He is a community support services case manager at Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center in Lawrence.

The future bride is the daughter of Ellen Young, Lawrence, and the late Doug Young. She is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pittsburg State University in 2004. She is employed at Jayhawk Bowling Supply and Equipment.
The future groom is the son of Kent Selters, Wever, Iowa, and Linda Selters, Burlington, Iowa. He is a 1998 graduate of Burlington High School and is also employed at Jayhawk Bowling Supply and Equipment.
The couple plan an April 17, 2010, wedding at the Lawrence Holidome.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Kansas University in 2005 and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Baker University in 2007. She is a neonatal intensive care nurse at KU Medical Center and is studying for a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Blue Valley High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Kansas State University in 2004. He is a senior financial analyst for KU Physicians Inc.
