Sebelius bows out of MSNBC Veepstakes bracket

Sen. Joe Biden has knocked off Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius in the MSNBC Veepstakes and advanced to a championship showdown with Sen. Hillary Clinton. Biden also was Sen. Barack Obama’s surrogate-of-choice this morning on the Today Show.¢¢¢Even the selection of Sebelius may not mean Obama can make a run in Kansas, according to John Nichols at The Nation. Because the Sunflower State casts only six votes in the Electoral College, it’s not a great loss, but Obama’s ability to compete here might have been a symbolic victory, Nichols says.¢¢¢Real Clear Politics picks up on criticism of Sebelius from none other than Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly, who is targeting the Kansas governor based on her ties to Dr. George Tiller, a doctor who performs late-term abortions in Wichita.
