Short round up for the longest day of the year

Summer is officially here! The local blogosphere is bursting with things to do and lovely summer sights around town:

• Tomorrow morning, the Lawrence Public Library offers a chance for KU professors to get out of their academic box. Ukeleles are involved.

• Meryl at My Bit of Earth posts a beautiful gallery of her garden today, the first day of summer.

• More photos from Tall Tales of Kansas: Carol took pictures of June sunrises during her morning commute. I see why photographers call that time of morning, “the magic hour.”

• Last but not least, The Larryville Chronicles gathers up a bunch of events and things to do today and this weekend to celebrate the summer solstice.

How are you celebrating the solstice and enjoying summer?
