Anti-abortion group making money plea for Kline

Operation Rescue is requesting its supporters make a “sacrificial contribution” to Johnson County District Attorney Phill Kline’s re-election campaign.In an e-mail, Troy Newman, president of the staunch anti-abortion group, praises Kline’s attempted prosecution of Planned Parenthood of violations of the state’s abortion law. Planned Parenthood has vigorously denied any wrongdoing.The e-mail provides a link to a website to donate to Kline, which includes a 4-minute plus ad about Kline’s fight against abortion providers.Kline faces Steve Howe in the Aug. 5 Republican Party primary.
