The Waka Winter Classic Competition will be making a stop in Lawrence at The Bottleneck, a chance for local talent to play at the Wakarusa Music Festival in Arkansas. The deadline for bands in Lawrence is Jan. 11, so if you’re considering entering, you better sign up now.

Five bands/artists will be chosen from Lawrence to perform at the Bottleneck on Feb. 1, based on Talent, Musicianship, Draw and Marketability. Sign up here.

The 11th Annual Wakarusa Music Festival will take place June 5 through 8 this year on Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas. Wakarusa is located on top of a mountain surrounded by streams, waterfalls, swimming holes and scenic float rivers.
