February 4th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Just after 2 a.m., Lawrence Police stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Tennessee Street. That driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.

At 2:20 a.m., Lawrence Police witnessed a non-injury accident at the intersection of 23rd Street and Clinton Parkway. When the Officer approached the two vehicles, one decided to leave the scene. That vehicle fled westbound on Clinton Parkway. Another officer in the area was able to stop the vehicle near Clinton Parkway and Crestline Drive. The driver of the vehicle which fled was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for DWI as well as leaving the scene of an accident and leaving the scene of a non-injury accident.

Things quieted down a little bit after that. Police did respond with LDCFM on a couple medical emergencies.

At 5:20 a.m., Lawrence Police were called to an address in the 900 block of Christie Court for a report of a theft. Once Police arrived they learned that three men, who had attended a party at the same residence, apparently decided to help themselves to some electronics on their way out. Officers quickly had descriptions of the alleged suspect vehicle as well as the alleged suspects and the electronics that they had taken. An officer in the area spotted a vehicle matching the described vehicle and stopped it near Inverness Drive and Monterey Hill Drive, which is a block north of Bob Billings Parkway and Inverness Drive. When the officer stopped the vehicle, all three men inside ran. The driver was quickly taken into custody and the stolen electronics recovered. It sounded like Police know who they are looking for, as far as the other two suspects.
