Warmer Air Back Again Late Week

A cooler and slightly drier airmass has moved into place dropping 0.57 inches of rain in its wake. While we needed the rain, perhaps the fact that we have slightly cooler temperatures is more welcomed for many people in the Midwest.

Weather models indicate that this airmass should stay in place for a couple of days, but another warm-up is on the way. Temperatures should remain in the low 80’s for Thursday. If you compare that to the model output for Saturday, there is a chance that we could see temperatures in the middle 90’s for daytime highs. There is some variations on these weather models, of course, but it looks like we will be dealing with temperatures well above average for the weekend.

On the same note, there are still several rain chances possible through Saturday, although at this point our severe potential is fairly limited. Our main concerns on Friday night into early Saturday will be hail and high wind.
