Turkey Day Travel Weather

Next Wednesday is the busiest travel day of the year and with so many people traveling to visit family for Thanksgiving, weather will be on your mind.

The latest model data is indicating that Wednesday will leave temperatures across northeast Kansas a little below average with a damp overcast. Most of the rain will be developing in Iowa and Illinois at that point, leaving us with very little concern if you are driving. This storm could slow air travel near Chicago, although we would expect it to be minimal at this point.

Your Thanksgiving forecast will leave us dry and comfortable in Kansas while areas in the southeast will probably be dealing with moderate rain showers. Travel through Atlanta might be a bit slow, although we typically see lighter air travel by Thanksgiving Day.
