Convenience store reports $14,000 in cigarettes stolen

Law enforcement report Burglaries and thefts reported ¢ An employee of Presto Convenience Store, 1030 N. Third St., reported $14,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen from the business since Nov. 1. ¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence woman reported an auto burglary and theft to Lawrence Police Thursday. Items reported stolen include a brown leather Lockhart purse, and the front passenger window of a 2004 Jeep Cherokee was damaged. The total estimated loss is $1,110. The incident occurred between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday near 12th and Louisiana streets. ¢ A Walgreen’s employee reported that since last July 15, hundreds of Phentermine tablets were stolen from the business at 3421 W.
