More than $1,000 in stereo equpiment stolen from vehicle

Law enforcement report Burglaries and thefts reported ¢ A 32-year-old Lawrence man reported a Sony subwoofer and amplifier, Rockford Fosgate speakers and stereo capacitor were among items stolen from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Lazy Brook Lane. Estimated loss is $1,110. ¢ A 24-year-old Lawrence woman reported a burglary and theft occurred Aug. 25 in the 2000 block of Heatherwood Drive. Items reported stolen include a Guess purse; three gold rings, two with diamonds; and a Virgin Mobile telephone. Estimated loss is $1,080. Injury Accidents ¢ A 19-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man was transported to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., Wednesday following a two-vehicle accident that occurred about 6 p.m. According to a Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office report, Kyle Runyan was driving over a hill into the area of a construction zone on Kansas Highway 5 near 119th Street. A construction vehicle was moving west slowly, according to the report, and its trailer was struck by Runyan’s vehicle.
