My weekend of fun continued with another show on Saturday. I headed out to the Granada to watch local lovelies Fourth of July.

I was happy to see the Kansas flag make a triumphant return. You can’t really tell in the videos, so I’ll just tell you. The flag is underneath the keyboards off to the side of the stage. When they brought it out, a giddy cheer came up from the crowd. How lovely that a band called Fourth of July (and evidently the audience) shares the same Kansas pride that I do.

I know it’s only Monday, but I’m looking forward to the Fourth of July (the holiday, not the band) this weekend. Sometimes showing a bit of Kansas pride and patriotism is viewed as a bit geeky, but I don’t care. I love Kansas from corner to dented corner. And apparently, most of the people (and rockers!) in my neck of the woods share the same sentiment. Now isn’t that nice. 🙂
