KU Crime Blotter: Jan. 23-29

The following incidents were reported to the University of Kansas Office of Public Safety between Monday, Jan. 23, and Sunday, Jan. 29. Incidents are listed by the dates they were reported.

Jan. 27

• Someone left a bag of marijuana on a KU bus on Jan. 19.

Jan. 26

• Someone damaged the passenger side mirror of a vehicle Jan. 25 or Jan. 26 at Lot 105, 1800 block Engel Road. Loss was valued at $200.

• A bicycle and lock were stolen from a rack Jan. 25 outside Malott Hall. Loss was valued at $100.

Jan. 25

• Someone took unattended property from a public area Jan. 25 at Daisy Hill Commons. Loss was valued at $300.

Jan. 24

• Someone stole a bicycle while the owner was gone for winter break between Dec. 17 and Dec. 24 at Jayhawker Towers Apartments, Tower D. Loss was valued at $300.

Jan. 23

• Criminal damage to property occurred between Jan. 20 and Jan. 23 at the chancellor’s residence. Two window screens were pried with a piece of wood, causing damage. Damage was estimated at $40.

Dec. 21

• Drug paraphernalia was found in an apartment between Dec. 17 and Dec. 21 in McCarthy Hall. (See related story here.)
