KU Crime Blotter: Week of Dec. 5-11

The following incidents were reported to the University of Kansas Office of Public Safety between Monday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 11. Incidents are listed by the dates they were reported.
Dec. 11
• Someone entered an unlocked room and stole pill bottles Dec. 10 at Hashinger Residence Hall. Loss was valued at $135.
Dec. 10
• Someone entered an unlocked room and stole pill bottles Dec. 10 at Hashinger Residence Hall. Loss was valued at $15.
• Police found a minor heavily intoxicated, in possession of alcohol and in possession of a fake drivers license about 2 a.m. Dec. 10 at Oliver Residence Hall. The suspect, who was arrested, also urinated in public — in a KU police vehicle.
Dec. 9
• Domestic battery occurred about 2:45 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Mississippi Street parking garage. A person was found to have struck her boyfriend during an argument. The suspect was arrested.
Dec. 8
• An unknown person entered a locked room and stole clothing between Dec. 5 and Dec. 7 at Jayhawker Towers Apartments. Loss was valued at $385.
• Someone stole $880 Dec. 12 or 13 at Carruth O’Leary Hall. Loss was valued at $880.
Dec. 7
• Somebody spray painted graffiti, a yin-yang symbol, Dec. 6 or 7 on the bridge railing at Potter Lake. Damage was estimated to be under $1,000.
• Somebody spray painted graffiti, an alien head, Dec. 6 or 7 on a small concrete wall at the Memorial Campanile. Damage was estimated to be under $1,000.
Dec. 5
• Police found a person distributing marijuana and in possession of drug paraphernalia and a fake driver’s license, with no drug tax stamp about 1 a.m. Dec. 5 in Lot 112, 1800 block of Naismith Drive. The suspect was arrested.
• Police found one minor in possession of alcohol and a fake id and another minor in possession of alcohol about 10:45 p.m. Dec. 5 in Lot 105, 1800 block of Engel Road. At least one of the suspects was arrested.
• Someone stole a laptop computer Dec. 3 or 4 from Watson Library. Loss was valued at $1,540.
