Apparently, people don’t want to watch higher seeds run over lower seeds.Who knew?According to Mediaweek, ratings are down an average of 7 percent with an average of 8 million people tuning in to each telecast. However Kansas University’s Elite Eight tilt with Davidson on Sunday – which went all the way down to the wire with Davidson nearly winning on a buzzer beater, perhaps you remember? – actually had higher ratings than the equivalent game last season.About 8.7 million people, a 19 percent increase over last year, tuned in to the KU game. Elite Eight games involving both UCLA and North Carolina were ratings clunkers, down 10 percent and 4 percent.
