Prom is coming up, and so is the annual Prom Dress Drive, which hopes to make the occasion more accessible for all students.

The drive, which is organized by the Social Service League, is collecting donations of gently used formalwear, accessories and shoes. Donations can be dropped off at four locations around town over the next several weeks.

Once the donations drive is complete, there will be a giveaway open to all middle or high school students from Lawrence or surrounding areas. The giveaway will be held March 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the auditorium of the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St.

The Free State High School Prom will be held April 30, and the Lawrence High Prom will be May 7.

Donations for the Prom Dress Drive can be dropped off at the following locations from now until March 22:

Lawrence High, 1901 Louisiana St.

Urban Outfitters, 1013 Massachusetts St.
