High school music festival to take place in Lawrence Thursday
Lawrence will be playing host to a variety of high school musicians on Thursday.
The Kansas State High School Activities Association Large Group Music Festival is bringing musicians from across the state to Lawrence to perform.
Orchestras, bands and choirs will all perform throughout the day. Orchestras will perform at Lawrence High School, choirs at Free State High School and bands at the Lied Center. Performances span the day, with the first beginning at 8 a.m. and the last at 4:30 p.m.
The symphonic bands, wind ensembles and orchestras from both Lawrence and Free State High School will perform, as well as multiple choirs from both schools. A full schedule of performances is below.

program at 6:15 p.m. Third-graders
will perform at 7:30 p.m.
