Lawrence high schools to host orientations for concurrent-credit college courses
Orientation sessions for students interested in earning college credit while still in high school are coming up next week. If your student is interested, there is still some time to look over available classes or talk with counselors ahead of orientation.
Before enrolling with a college or university, students will first need to enroll in concurrent credit with their high school counselor.
High school juniors and seniors in the Lawrence school district can enroll in concurrent-credit college courses through three area schools: Kansas University, Johnson County Community College and Neosho County Community College.

KU Concurrent Enrollment Orientation
Lawrence High School, from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 19, cafeteria
KU Concurrent Enrollment Orientation
Free State High School, from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 20, auditorium
JCCC Concurrent Enrollment Orientation
Lawrence College & Career Center, 2910 Haskell Ave., from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. April 27, Room 124
NCCC Concurrent Enrollment Orientation
