As part of a promotion this and next month, students can take the GED practice test for $1 at the Lawrence Adult Education Center, 2145 Louisiana St.

The practice test, which is usually $6, will be offered at the reduced price from now until Oct. 31 as part of a back-to-school discount. The practice test also helps students create a personalized study plan.

Students who take the practice test during the back-to-school promotion are eligible for the GED Ready Practice Test Guarantee: If a student scores “likely to pass” on the practice test and does not pass the official GED test in that test subject, they can retake the test for free.

The Lawrence Adult Education Center offers classes in math, reading, writing, social studies and science to help students prepare for the GED. For more information or to schedule a practice test, contact the Lawrence Adult Education Center at 832-5960.
