Several Lawrence schools extend library hours

After a few new curriculum adoptions this school year, almost all students in the Lawrence school district now have digital textbooks for at least one subject. Several school libraries have recently extended their hours before or after school to offer students more access to computers and internet.

See below for the extended library hours and homework help that is available districtwide.

Elementary school level:

Elementary school Boys & Girls Club members have access to libraries and computers after school.

Middle school level:

– South library, open until 7 p.m. on
Tuesday.

– Southwest library, open daily until
3:45 p.m.
Homework support on
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until
3:45 p.m.
Homework support on
Wednesday for two hours after early
dismissal.

– Liberty Memorial Central library,
homework support on Monday, Tuesday
and Thursday until 4:15 p.m.

– West library, homework support on
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until 4
p.m.

High school level:

– Lawrence High library, open before
school at 7 a.m. and after school
until 3:45 p.m.

– Free State library, open before
school at 6:30 a.m. and after school
until 4 p.m.
