EMU Theatre is looking for monsters and other strange characters. The Lawrence-based experimental theater troupe is holding auditions for its annual festival of short plays, “Horrorshow VII”, Sept. 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the black box theater at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire Street.

Auditions consist of “cold readings” from the script. Actors do not need to prepare any material in advance. Roles are available for men and women ages teen and up. No prior experience is required.

Performance dates are Oct. 25, 26, 31, and Nov. 1 and 2. For more information email info@emutheatre.com.
