Auditions for Lawrence Arts Center’s ‘Kansas Nutcracker’ are Sunday

Auditions for the Lawrence Arts Center’s annual holiday extravaganza, “A Kansas Nutcracker,” are Sunday. The show is set in Lawrence in 1861 and combines the classic Tchaikovsky ballet with a cast of well known Kansas historical figures, including Charles Robinson, John Brown, and many more.

Roles are available for children and adults as actors or dancers, and no prior experience is necessary. Audition times are as follows:

12.30pm – 2.00pm: Children ages 5-8
1.00pm – 4.30pm: Children ages 9-11
3.00pm – 5.30pm: Children ages 12-18
3.30pm – 5.00pm: Adults

Callbacks, if necessary, will held Monday evening, September 17. Those called back will be contacted by phone.

No preparation is necessary. Script materials will be provided. Everyone will be cast, and a cast list will be posted by Thursday, September 20.
