Kansas women’s basketball guards Laia Conesa and Keeley Parks are entering the transfer portal.

Conesa went into the portal on Monday, a KU Athletics spokesperson confirmed. The 5-foot-11 guard from Barcelona, Spain, averaged 3.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 20.0 minutes per game as a junior with the Jayhawks. She played in all 36 of KU’s games and started five.

Conesa had taken on a somewhat greater role during KU’s injury-plagued 2024-25 campaign, which was also before the introduction of the 2025 freshman class that bolstered the team’s depth. As a sophomore, she started 25 of 30 games, playing about nine minutes per game more than as a junior, and tallied 7.4 points per game while shooting 33.8% from deep.

Conesa provided valuable depth for KU as an auxiliary ball handler and capable defender and had some big moments for the Jayhawks this past season, including a dagger 3 in KU’s upset win over then-No. 20 Texas Tech on senior night, and some double-digit rebounding performances in the WBIT. But she only reached double-figure scoring a single time in her junior season.

Parks told the Journal-World in an Instagram message that she is entering the portal.

She came to KU as a five-star prospect ranked No. 31 in the nation, part of KU’s highly touted recruiting class of 2025. But her lone year in Lawrence was marred by injuries. As she said early in the season, she had been hurt and missed the summer. She didn’t play much early in the year but worked her way into the starting five for nine games, seven of which came when fellow freshman Jaliya Davis was injured.

However, after the last of those starts, on Jan. 11 against Baylor, Parks popped up on the Big 12 availability report ahead of KU’s next game against Oklahoma State. She was seen wearing a walking boot on her right foot at that game and ultimately did not appear for the remainder of the season, with head coach Brandon Schneider saying on Feb. 14 that she was practicing but not operating at 100% as she continued to deal with a “lower leg” issue.

Parks finished the year averaging 5.1 points per game on 33.9% shooting from beyond the arc in her 16 appearances.

With Sania Copeland, Nadira Eltayeb, Elle Evans and Lilly Meister having exhausted their eligibility and Conesa and Parks leaving, KU has six possible returning players at this juncture: Tatyonna Brown, Jaliya Davis, Libby Fandel, Brittany Harshaw, S’Mya Nichols and Regan Williams. The Jayhawks are bringing in three freshmen next season: Cydnee Bryant, Mollie Ernstes and Brooklynn Renn.

The window to enter the portal opened Monday and closes on April 20.
