Kansas sophomore Holly Kersgieter looks to make a pass against Northern Colorado Wednesday night at Allen Fieldhouse. The KU women's basketball team secured a 78-62 win over Northern Colorado in the season opener on Nov. 25, 2020.

The Kansas women’s basketball team will have a busy start to February now that the Big 12 has determined when the Jayhawks will play their makeup game versus Oklahoma State.

The conference office announced Wednesday the KU road game in Stillwater, Okla., originally scheduled for Jan. 9, has been rescheduled for Feb. 2.

In order to make that week’s slate of games a little more manageable for the Jayhawks, the Big 12 also moved the two games KU already had on the calendar. KU’s road date at Baylor got moved from Feb. 3 to Feb. 4, and the Jayhawks’ home matchup versus TCU was moved from Feb. 6 to Feb. 7.

Injuries and COVID-19 protocols within KU’s program led to the original KU-OSU matchup being postponed.

As of now the Jayhawks are currently scheduled to face Oklahoma State in back to back games over a span of four days. As originally scheduled, KU is to play host to OSU on Jan. 30. Then comes the makeup date at OSU on Feb. 2.

So far this season, KU has seen six of its games either get postponed or canceled completely — which was the case for a December home date with Rio Grande Valley.

The Big 12 has yet to announce when KU will make up postponed games against West Virginia, Iowa State and Baylor from earlier this month. A postponed road game at Texas got rescheduled for Jan. 14, and KU lost in Austin, Texas, 79-72.
