Big 12 announces 3 makeup dates for KU women’s basketball

The Kansas women’s basketball team now has makeup dates for three January games that were postponed due to injuries and COVID protocols.

The Big 12 announced on Thursday the plans for a slew of rescheduled matchups around the league, including the Jayhawks’ home games against West Virginia and Baylor, and KU’s road date with Iowa State.

All three of KU’s makeup games will come after Feb. 24, the original date of the team’s regular season finale, as the Big 12 built in extra down time for its teams before the start of postseason play.

The Jayhawks will face WVU on Feb. 27, travel to Iowa State on March 3 and welcome Baylor to Allen Fieldhouse on March 6.

Those games all originally were scheduled to be played between Jan. 2 and 13. New tip-off times have yet to be announced.

KU already played rescheduled games with Oklahoma State and Texas.

The Big 12’s women’s basketball tournament is slated to begin on March 11 in Kansas City, Mo., at Municipal Auditorium.

The next game on the calendar for KU (7-10 overall, 3-8 Big 12) is a Saturday trip to Kansas State (5-12, 0-10).
