After Kansas baseball’s record-breaking 2025 season, KU’s Brady Ballinger and Jackson Hauge were both named All-Americans this week by different publications. Ballinger was named a third-team All-American by Perfect Game on Tuesday and a second-team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, and Hauge was voted a third-team All-American by the NCBWA on Wednesday.

This made them the first KU teammates to be named All-Americans in the same season since 1996. They were also the first All-American selections for the Jayhawks in general since 2009. Ballinger and Hauge were also named first and second team Central All-Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings, respectively.

Ballinger, who transferred in as a sophomore from the College of Southern Nevada, led the Big 12 in walks (56), which tied for second in school history; was tied for first in runs scored (71) and doubles (21); and came in second in the league with a .495 on-base percentage and .670 slugging percentage while collecting 150 total bases. He earned his All-American honors after being named to the All-Big 12 First Team and a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy back in mid-May. Ballinger was the first Jayhawk to make the 67-player semifinalist pool since the inception of the award, given to the top player in the country, in 1987.

Hauge joined the Jayhawks as a graduate student after spending four years at Minnesota State Mankato, making the jump to Division I baseball after not playing in 2024 due to a concussion. He made an immediate impact for the Jayhawks, winning Big 12 Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week in March and April, respectively. He led the Big 12 in home runs with 20, which was six shy of the national leader and one away from tying the program record in a season.

Hauge and Ballinger combined for 126 RBIs and 149 hits while starting in at least 58 of Kansas’ 60 games en route to a 43-17 record and the first appearance in an NCAA Regional since 2014.
