Former Kansas wing AJ Storr announced on Tuesday afternoon that he has committed to Ole Miss.
Storr becomes the third player departing Kansas to find a new home this offseason, after David Coit (Maryland) and Zach Clemence (Texas A&M).
The native of Rockford, Illinois, has now played for a different team every year of his basketball career dating back to high school.
Storr arrived in Lawrence as the apparent prize of KU’s 2024 transfer class. He had averaged 16.8 points per game at Wisconsin and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors. But he never found his footing with the Jayhawks, at least prior to two solid performances in the postseason. He fell out of KU’s starting lineup early in the 2024-25 campaign and finished his lone season in Lawrence tallying 6.1 points per game on 38.4% shooting and 29.1% beyond the arc.
The struggles of Storr and to some extent fellow transfer wing Rylan Griffen, who has also since reentered the portal, prevented KU from getting much consistent production at what was initially expected to be a position of strength.
Griffen, for his part, was reportedly visiting Miami on Tuesday. He and Rakease Passmore remain uncommitted in the portal. In the meantime, KU has brought in two new transfers for next season in guard Jayden Dawson of Loyola-Chicago and wing Tre White of Illinois.
