Prep receiver Jaddai Henry, who was one of the first recruits from the class of 2021 to commit to the Kansas football program, announced Sunday night that he wouldn’t be playing for the Jayhawks after all.

“After meeting with my family and discussing my future, I have decided to decommit my talents from the University of Kansas,” Henry wrote on Twitter. “I would like to thank Les Miles and his staff for recruiting and believing in me early.”

It had been more than a year since the 6-foot-4 receiver from Hebron, Texas, aligned himself with KU. He committed in September 2019.

Henry was rated by Rivals as a three-star prospect.

KU now has lost three of its previous commitments from the 2021 class. Louisiana prep receiver Keon Coleman decommitted in early October, and Alabama prep offensive lineman Edgar Amaya reopened his recruitment a couple of weeks later.

Entering November, KU currently has 20 high school prospects on board for the upcoming signing class, with 17 of those players considered to be three-star prospects.

The earliest that class of 2021 prospects can sign is Dec. 16.
