Two Haskell volleyball players receive weekly honors
Haskell Indian Nations University juniors Mya Dalgai and Grace Moses-Watchman were attacker and setter of the week, respectively, by the Continental Athletics Conference.
Dalgai, a member of the Navajo Nation from Ganado Arizona, had a .266 hitting percentage for 64 attacks across a pair of matches last week and then 15 kills in a 3-1 victory against Hesston College on Saturday. Dalgai opened the week with 11 kills in a 3-1 setback at Mission College (Missouri) last Wednesday. She also posted 10 blocks, with seven solo efforts, for the week.
Moses-Watchman, a member of the Coeur’ d’Alene Tribe from Pendleton Oregon, had at least 25 assists in Haskell’s two matches last week, with 28 assists coming in a conference win against Hesston. She averaged 6.75 assists per set for the week. She posted 26 assists earlier in the week against Mission College. Moses-Watchman also recorded three service aces and 14 digs in a strong all-around performance for the week.
Carolina University senior Charlee Hale was named defender of the week.
